Brackengate Business Park is one of the most strategically positioned light industrial parks in Cape Town. Set on the ‘golden triangle’, it is surrounded by the R300, N1 and N2, well outside the congestion zones of Montague Gardens and Epping Industria.

The greater Brackengate industrial precinct is in excess of 160 hectares and is the last substantial swathe of industrial land available in this area. The first phase comprised 35 hectares and VDMV Property Group started developing this from 2008. When Royal Canin approached VDMV Property Group in 2013 to develop a purpose built modern distribution centre in a prime business park, VDMV Property Group was delighted to conclude a transaction in their Brackengate Business Park development. Royal Canin and their furry customers were delighted and are an important part of the VDMV Property Group portfolio.



VDMV Property Group and Freightmore formed a property owning joint venture in 2013. Having relocated from the congested Parow Industria area, they established their new premises in Brackengate Business Park. Freightmore’s business has grown significantly and the joint venture extended its reach to include Lord’s View Industrial Park in Johannesburg in 2015.
