VDMV Property Holdings have partnered with Tafelberg Furnishers to deliver another successful distribution centre in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town.
The bulk earthworks for this project have begun, and VDMV anticipate that the Tafelberg DC building will take 10 months to complete.
Tafelberg Furnishers is a leading furniture retailer that has established itself over many years in the Western Cape.
VDMV contracted the services of Louis Phillips from leading architectural firm Phillips and Associates Architects in Paarl to design the new Tafelberg Furnishers distribution centre. Once completed, the warehouse component of this cutting-edge and aesthetically pleasing building – which will feature a domed roof supported by traditional concrete and steel, as well as a brick and IBR façade – will measure 10 500 m2, while the office and showroom areas will be approximately 1000 m2, with numerous rear docking facilities – both open and under cover – for fast and efficient loading and offloading capabilities. The building will also feature a state-of-the-art fire protection system with racking and smoke detection alarms.
